ABOUT
SafeRelease App
Because every child’s safety should be as seamless as learning itself
Our Story
After more than a decade safeguarding Washington, D.C. schools during fire drills, severe‑weather events, and active‑threat situations, our founders noticed a surprising blind spot: daily dismissal. The most routine moment of the day was also the most chaotic—clipboards missing, buses idling, parents double‑parked, and staff praying every child reached the right adult.
In 2019 we sketched a better way on a whiteboard: combine the rigour of emergency‑management protocols with the simplicity of a parent‑friendly app. Twelve months later SafeRelease piloted at two charter schools, cutting dismissal time by 47 percent and eliminating every mis‑match hand‑off. Word spread, and today we serve campuses from pre‑K to high school across the Mid‑Atlantic.
